Job Description

Social Media Project Manager

 

Our financial client in Back Bay, Boston is looking for a Social Media Project Manager to join their team for a long-term contract.  In this role, you will assist in the planning and execution of digital and social media content.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teams to lead management of timely execution of digital and social media communications projects including maintaining a calendar for planning and distribution to global marketing partners
  • Manage the development process through the use of related tools/workflow systems in order to efficiently scope, resource, schedule and track deliverables through project lifecycles
  • Maintain oversight of project details, timelines and budgets via project management system—alerting the digital team and stakeholders regarding changes and/or reprioritization of deliverables in real time
  • Build strong working relations across global marketing teams by combining project management skill with business understanding to ensure programs are executed on strategy, on time and on budget
  • Proactively propose workflow-process improvements/integrations to boost team efficiency and speed to market between creative, communications and other workgroups within Global Marketing
  • Act as a diligent brand steward and demonstrate command of brand guidelines in order to adhere to these standards throughout creative execution

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing  or relevant discipline
  • 4+ years' experience in advertising or marketing within or servicing a financial services organization; knowledge of mutual funds a plus
  • Proven understanding of social media, advertising and marketing project types and accompanying processes
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, high attention to detail
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), familiarity with social media platforms/best practices
  • Experience working with automated project management workflow system and content management systems (Workfront and Adobe Experience Manager a plus)
