Job Description

Events Manager

 

Our technology client in Cambridge is looking for an Events Manager to join their team for a long-term contract.  In this role, you will oversee global events and focus on event logistics, building relationships with key stakeholders and ensuring an exceptional attendee experience for all events.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Plan programming for various internal and external events globally
  • Lead event core team meetings; manage cross-functional resources to align with project plan
  • Handle vendor RFI, budgeting, site selection and contract negotiations
  • Manage attendee requirements for registration, tracking/communication, hotel management, transportation, activities, food and beverage planning
  • Evaluate programs and provide post-event analysis

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or relevant discipline
  • 5+ years of event experience, preferably in technology
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; exceptional time and project management skills
  • High attention to detail, ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prepare accurate budgets and effectively manage expenses
