Job Description

Sales Manager

 

Our fun, fast-paced consumer client in Providence is looking for a Sales Manager to join their team for a long-term contract.  In this role, you will be responsible for developing and expanding business in designated categories.  You will contribute to the development of the business plan, providing input such as relevant customer and market information, sales and marketing strategies, vision, and goals.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute internal and customer-facing business plans with quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Achieve targeted objectives for revenue and profitability consistent with the annual business plan for brick and mortar and ecommerce
  • Identify and develop on an ongoing basis business building opportunities and gaps
  • Create and maintain accurate and on-time product forecasts
  • Lead and work effectively with cross functional teams to elevate the customers’ business internally and to secure resources needed to grow the business
  • Continuously review internal sales performance vs. budget and goal; maintain and track customer Cost of Business reports
  • Plan and conduct business review meetings with customer to ensure customer is kept current on product line, features, and brand strategy
  • Participate in periodic internal marketing and sales reviews and forecasting meetings
  • Analyze promotional, product, and brand results to determine the lift/ROI/effectiveness, and develop alternate recommendations

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Sales in a CPG company
  • Demonstrated track record of using business analytics and consumer insights to support strategic planning
  • Exceptional communication skills – verbal, written and presentation; results-oriented
  • Strong time management, prioritization, planning, and organization skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills
  • 30-40% travel required
