Job Description

Brand Manager

 

Our client in RI is looking for a Brand Manager to join their team to focus on Brand Development and the execution of Marketing Plans.  In this role, you will create integrated annual marketing plans around new product lines to drive revenue growth.  You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, development, packaging, engineering, cost, etc. and assist on all phases of product development and future product lines.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop overall P&L, including establishing pricing and marketing budget, based on brand revenue and profit goals
  • Analyze point-of-sale data to understand the trends of the business and drive decision-making
  • Partner with the Customer Marketing and Sales teams in the development of annual trade/promotional opportunities
  • Develop U.S. strategic business plans to achieve brand financial goals, including pricing recommendations and shipment forecasting, and manage a marketing spend budget across segments
  • Grow brand revenue and profitability by item/ segment to drive portfolio growth
  • Create, execute and manage fully integrated U.S. Marketing brand plans, including consumer communications strategy, omni-channel media plan, consumer promotions and retail strategy
  • Own the development, analysis and communication of item-level forecasts, and partner with operations and logistics teams to manage inventory build plan
  • Develop and manage media plans and spending by brand, considering product performance and inventory levels
  • Plan and direct implementation of all trade and account-specific promotional programs to achieve business goals
  • Analyze and track POS performance and competitive activity to drive decision-making and identify growth opportunities
  • Partner with U.S. Sales Organization to drive brands at retail, including leading sales meeting presentations to customers and developing retailer-specific programs and activations
  • Provide strategic direction to Global Brand Team on product line, financials and marketing toolkit assets
  • Provide timely, consistent and accurate communication of brand activity and key information to internal and external partners

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising or relevant discipline; MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of Brand Marketing experience with fully integrated marketing campaigns; CPG experience a MUST
  • Exceptional communication - verbal, written, presentation; strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must have a positive attitude, eager, driven and passionate about Brand
  • Business and financial acumen and an ability to think analytically about the competitive landscape; work well in cross-functional teams
  • Ability to be agile and flexible in thinking and adaptable in a frequently changing environment
  • Detail-oriented, innovative, digital-first mindset
  • MS Office, especially Excel
