Project Manager - Product Development


Our fun, fast-paced client in Rhode Island is looking for a Project Manager for Product Development to join their team for a long-term contract. In this role, you will work within the Design, Development and Innovation organization focusing on the development of products. You will be responsible for leading all aspects of scheduling, delivery, and the facilitation across multiple teams and products to ensure that goals are met. Utilizing proven communication, organization, negotiation and problem solving skills, you will be responsible and accountable for information flow amongst the development team, key business partners and leadership on the brands you are working with.



  • Collaborate with diverse multi-functional teams and direct communication with product development and manufacturing partners throughout the world
  • Participate and contribute to the product development process by pro-actively identifying potential delays, risks or road blocks further down the development process
  • Help team to implement innovative methods and solutions to deliver products on time
  • As part of the development team, own and drive schedules, lead development meetings, and participate in the decision making process throughout the product development cycle
  • Partner with Far East Office and Global Operations teams to provide the best available information at the earliest possible time
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve tools, reports, and ensure data integrity in systems



  • Bachelor's degree in Business or relevant discipline
  • 4+ years of experience in Project Management driving multi-functional projects, preferably related to Product Development
  • Self-motivation, excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills required
  • Understanding, preferably first-hand experience - of what is required when working with entertainment brands either on the licensee or licensor side of development
  • Product development knowledge in the toy and/or consumer goods industry preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects with shifting priorities
  • Ability to collaboratively facilitate diverse functional teams
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications and presentation software; MS project experience is a plus
  • Project Management experience and/or prior experience as an individual contributor in the making of toys, consumer electronics, or similar physical products
