Job Description

Digital Media Strategy Planner

 

Our fun, fast-paced client outside of Minneapolis is looking for a Digital Media Strategy Planner to join their team for a contract. In this role, you will be responsible for working with internal teams & external agency partners in strategy, media, analytics and creative to design, build, execute and optimize digital campaigns (display, paid search, paid and organic social media, SEO and email) that meet/exceed key program goals.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a digital media expert, partnering internally to provide recommendations across consumer and food service marketing team; keep a pulse on digital industry trends, best practices and new technologies for targeting, messaging, creative, and overall customer experience
  • Work closely with internal Brand Experience and Channel Marketing stakeholders to understand the audience, business objectives, marketing strategies, industry challenges, and growth opportunities to develop plans that will enable customer-centered media deliverables that effectively activate against key strategies, build the brand, and help drive Connected Commerce strategy
  • Work closely with web strategist and agency partners to deliver highly effective cross-platform campaigns that positively affect ROI and show measurable results
  • Direct digital agencies to ensure strategy and integration across all digital campaigns will deliver results
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of various programs to identify areas of opportunity, as well as ways to improve current processes
  • Work with agency partners to optimize campaign, audience, creative, budgets, and bids across multiple channels to target ROI/Performance goals
  • Provide ongoing actionable insights into campaign performance to relevant stakeholders as well as provide reports and updates
  • Develop, execute, and optimize cutting-edge digital campaigns from conception to launch across digital channels
  • Work with teams across omni-channel strategies to drive brand perception and result in high quality sales leads

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Media or relevant discipline
  • 3+ years of digital media experience with a proven record of professional achievement
  • Background in digital media planning, consulting, agency experience, and ideally in-platform experience in Display, Paid Social, Paid Search or SEO
  • Experience defining, measuring, and evaluating relevant paid media KPIs
  • Experience with media buys for various ad platforms and working with agencies on the day-to-day execution of paid media
  • Experience overseeing and managing budgets
  • Experience conducting in-depth keyword and website research, ad grouping and audience targeting
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas and plans effectively – both verbally and visually
  • Skilled at using data to drive decisions and translate data analysis into actionable marketing / media recommendations and customer experiences
  • Experience in organization pursuing digital transformation, particularly in the CPG or retail industries
  • Experience partnering with teams to develop outputs that enable program development and stakeholder buy-in, such as personas, journey-maps, user flows, information architecture, and wireframes
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with driving and applying user-centered design processes while working collaboratively with marketing stakeholders and alongside cross-functional teams including creative, channel activation, marketing automation, marketing operations and analytics; experience with CRM and marketing automation tools a plus
  • Experience working in Agile/Product teams a plus
