Global Philanthropy Coordinator
Our fun, fast-paced client in Rhode Island is looking for a Global Philanthropy Coordinator to join their team for a contract role. In this role, you will provide comprehensive administrative support of a responsible and discretionary nature. Using your expert-level software skills, including Excel and PowerPoint, you will create presentations, process budget tracking information and expense reports, and prepare general correspondence.
Responsibilities
- Screen and respond to incoming requests (phone calls and visitors)
- Create, update, revise documents, presentations, and reports; track departmental information including budgets and expenses and vacation time
- Work with employees who are managing client's global service day projects to assist in coordinating event organization and recruiting volunteers
- Assist with the day-of execution of the global service day
- Work with International Project Leads in approximately 35 countries to assist them with their project planning and tracking event details
- Assist in the planning, managing and executing of internal and external team employee volunteer events and programs that occur on an ongoing basis
- Maintain the internal employee volunteer database by submitting projects, promoting events, recording employee participation, creatively engaging employees, etc.
- Assist client's product donation program by helping to inventory and package excess product for donation to client’s nonprofit partner organizations
- Assist with printing of grant packages and submitting grant check requests
- Process matching gifts and higher education requests through internal database
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline preferred
- Experience in a consumer packaged goods/marketing environment preferred
- Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Word
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to work overtime required
- Excellent interpersonal skills, professionalism and confidence when working with internal employees and non-profit partners
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced work environment
- Interest in philanthropy and community service a plus
